Stinson Bros.

The three Stinson Brothers were from Rochester, Minnesota, and made several records for Kay Bank.  Kay Bank 1225 was also by them, and two other discs appeared on the Soma label.  They also had a live LP on the Canadian American label, "The Stinson Brothers In Las Vegas".  The group played the Flame Cafe in Minneapolis as well. They were also known as The Fabulous Stinsons

Singing Tex Gawryluk

It's not often I get to bring a starday custom pressing to light.  I've got about 450 tracks out of the more than 2000 tracks that were issued.  The numbers started at 500 and ended at 1186.  I personally own only 4 or 5 records.  Here is some more info:

Ernest Stoneman

I just couldn't get a good transfer of this disc.  It has feedback but it still almost listenable.  I tried all kinds of things like changing the microphone inputs levels, and the settings on my stereo receiver, but I couldn't remove it.  Someday I'll figure out a good system, I hope.  Until then here's the best I can do.

Yvonne Fink & The Wanderers On Campus

Both the College of St. Thomas and the College of St. Catherine are Universities now.  I wonder if they used college funds to make this record, or if they got college credit for making it?

The Houle Brothers

The Houle Brothers were from North Dakota, of Native American and French decent.  They recorded at Kay Bank quite a bit, and are well-known among record collectors in Minnesota.  Inside the folder is an article from "Upper Midwest Country & Western Music Scene November '73".  I scanned it from a friend and converted it to pdf.  Their most sought-after record is of course, Dream Night on the Circle Dot label.  I've included all recordings that I possess in the folder.  I don't have all they produced.  Not sure, but I think that not all of the four brothers are still alive.  I know they were renowned for playing their guitars upside down behind their heads, as the photo shows.  Also, every other person I talk to pronounces the name Houle differently.
