Prom 1109

I assume this to be the forerunner to the Promenade label. The vinyl is heavy, with the higher quality grade that was used in the 1950s. Since both original versions of these songs were hits in 1955, I'm guessing this record was trying to capitalize during that same year. If anyone can prove me wrong, please speak up.

Fussing about on the net it looks like your correct. I found mention that Henry LaPidus who owned Synthetic Plastics also owned the Prom, Promenade, Spin-o-Rama, Peter Pan and Rocking Horse labels. In an Oct 8th 1952 Billboard Henry was running a promo fro Prom records where he was looking for a national "Prom Queen"
