I don't see Gene Jones referenced in that discography.
Can you tell us more about SON?
In the deadwax, I can read "SoN 12592".

Probably not the "Oakie" Jones. I think he was Nashville based and being the bus driver for Marty Robbins had access to better studios than this was recorded in. This Gene did live in a nice part of Atlanta so he must have been successful at something other than music.
