Maybe this is a predecessor to the Designer label, a gospel label that was owned by Style Wooten and Gary Bowen. I wonder if like the Designer label this one existed as both a vanity commercial label?

I found this little tidbit on a blog
“Hello My name is Gary Draffin and I worked for Style Wooten from around 1971 until the late 70,s.
I started as his studio bassist along with Gary Adair on Drums, Eddie Slusser on guitar & Pat Gibson on Keys.I helped Style put his first studio together and began engineering I heard that Style moved to Jackson Missippi and has passed on. I considered Style a very good friend”

Eddie Slusser was the guitarist for Kenny Owens from Little Rock and moved to Memphis to play at Hernando’s Hideaway (isn’t that where some of the Stax Musicians played?) Here’s a link to some of Kenny’s music http://favorite45.blogspot.com/search?q=first+date

Sweet pedal steel on both cuts! Thanks for the post.
