Wonder if this is the Buddy on the record? Even if it isn't I would have loved to sit down and had a beer with this Buddy.

"HAWK, Ernest Lamar, "Buddy", passed away Monday, October 25, 2010 at Elmore Community Hospital after a brief illness. Buddy is at peace after 79 colorful years. During his remarkable life he was a dairy farmer, a rodeo champion, a country western singer, a PGA golf professional, a skilled marksman and hunter, a breeder and trainer of hunting dogs and a force of nature unique on this earth"

Thanks.

Writer of "Honey" side, A. Mayhew "widely known outside of the music business, and as a Kennedy collector, purchased at auction the infamous 7-story warehouse building that had housed the Texas School Book Depository in Dallas, Texas."

And of course the man who gave Donny Young his big break by changing his name to Johnny Paycheck.
