Roy King

This is from 1952. I couldn't find hardly anything about Roy on the internet. Looks like he only made a few records for Mercury. So enjoy this rare one.

Gloria Mann

This must be a promo copy, because the label is not the same as other Sound records. Mann's version went to #18 in 1955, a year after the Penguins had a hit with it.

On a day when we got about 17'' of snow here in Minnesota, there's no better record than this one to post. The Soma label was based in Minneapolis from 1957 until 1967. I couldn't find what year this was pressed. The name of the label comes from the owner Amos Heilicher, his name spelled backward. How about I start a Kired label?

Should I be posting this on the blog? Or is this something for the other Derek, at Derek's Daily 45? Maybe the only reason I'm doing it is because it's signed! This is probably my one and only soul/RnB posting. The next post we'll get back to the country.

This is from 1970.
