This "local loser" happens to be my daddy who passed away in August of last year. Not only did he cut these two records for Chart, but several others as well. While never attaining "Garth Brooks" status he enjoyed a lucrative music career in both entertainment and management that enabled him to raise us well...and with manners.

Shelly,
The title of this blog is a lyric from a song by Bob Dylan. It refers more to me than your father. The spirit of this blog is not to make fun of this music, but bring it to light again.

Thanks for visiting,
Derik

Derik, I don't think my last post went thru. Thank you for explaining that. I did not realize and when I saw it, it hurt. This is my first Father's Day without him, and I miss him so much. I really appreciate your response.

How in the world did he even come across your radar to post about him?

And I could not get the files to play :(

Shelley.

Shelly,
I have replaced the old files with new ones, so they should work now. Happy fathers' day to Mike.

Derik,
So thrilled to hear the files - I still remember all the words! Thanks for fixing those. There are at least six other songs we are tracking down.
Tell me some time when you get a chance how you came about posting about Daddy...

Shelley,
I simply found the record at a record sale and liked the sound, so I posted it. No real "story" behind it.
Send me an email if you find other records by him.
